General Manager POSITION
Summary:
This position oversees all aspects of managing Clearwater/Meredith Woods Campground in Meredith NH.
This position will work directly with all staff to provide a high level of leadership, mentorship, communication, customer service and managerial support.
This year-round position is critical to the success of Clearwater/Meredith Woods Campground and day to day operations.
On site housing may be available as part of the compensation.
I.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:

Hiring, training, and supervising of all staff.
Create and cultivate a positive work environment for all staff.
Lead by example and set expectations.
Maintain open communication with Modern America administrative staff.
Creation of weekly schedules so that all areas have adequate staffing.
Holds all staff to Modern America standards and hold them accountable Assist with and respond to electronic and phone inquiries related to facility information in a timely manner.
Ensure that all staff are appropriately trained to perform their job duties.
Report any infrastructure, repair, groundskeeping, or equipment issues to the Maintenance Manager.
Manages inventory and purchasing, to include cleaning supplies, firewood, toiletries, retail, equipment, and ice.
Build community relationships.
Other related duties as assigned.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
The following generally describes the knowledge and ability required to enter the position and/or to be learned within a short period of time to successfully perform the assigned duties.
The ability to cultivate and manage a team of diverse staff with confidence.
Knowledge, skills, and experience in outdoor recreation and campground management.
Must be able to work cooperatively with Modern America administrative staff and the public.
Must possess computer skills, word processing, and database management applications such as Campspot.
Must adhere to streamlined processes put forth by the administrative staff.
The ability to independently respond to any emergencies according to protocol as they arise.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Prior experience and qualifications necessary to perform the duties associated with the position.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Must maintain a positive, efficient, and functional work culture.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
College Diploma or equivalent relevant experience.

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate to heavy amounts of weight; to operate building maintenance equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer/laptop/tablet; may travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to communicate (verbally and written) and exchange information.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to lift moderate to heavy amounts of weight.
